Sonia HollisMy name is Sonia Hollis and I first took up sign language because I couldn’t communicate with a child I worked with in nursery.

I could make signs to him and mouth my words, but I just didn’t speak his language.

I had no time to go to college, and in truth felt a little self conscious trying to learn the facial expressions and sign in specific ways while I was learning.
